The majority or what we sell are direct-vent models, requiring no vertical chimney, just a vent cap on the outside wall. These are completely sealed units and get all of their combustion air from the outside, while venting all byproducts to the outside thru the same pipe. They can all be thermostatically or remote controlled and require no electricity to operate.
Some models are b-vent which requires a vertical b-vent chimney and use room air for combustion, while still others (vent-free) are so efficient that they can vent directly to the room - for limited periods of time.
